We’re coming up on the 20th anniversary of Aryton Senna’s tragic passing. You can read all about respectful tributes of this solemn day in motorsport. However, what I wanted to do was share something a bit more uplifting.

Watching Aryton’s Senna’s first test in a Formula 1 car. Testing for Williams, Mclaren and Toleman. Senna had only started gracing the world of Formula 1, and the hearts of racers for generations.

Check out this interview by David Coulthard, driver at Mclaren and Williams Formula 1 teams. Winner of 13 Grand Prix, Coulthard is now a pundit for the BBC, broadcasting the races. David’s interview just give a brief summary of his career in Formula 1.

I wish I had something more clever to say about it, but as a Formula 1 nerd, it’s just always interesting to hear from someone in the sport.

|Weekend| Simming it up!

During the off-season, it’s always important to find someway to sharpen your racing skills for when the spring time returns. So over the weekend, I played some RFactor on a friend’s computer.

In my opinion, quality simulation games are a good way to improve your mental programming while racing on a budget.

We spent the afternoon practicing with classic Formula 1 cars, on tracks that we’d never driven before. It gave us some time to re-learn some of our old skills, and also create a list of new habits to start working on for the upcoming season.
