For some whom were in Spa for the Belgian GP last weekend, might of seen this blonde bombshell of track marshal. Now for me, I’ve been around a bit, but I’ve never seen anyone like this!
For readers of Autosport, you know this question. But it’s not the whole story. You might say that Lola had some of the worst F1 cars to date, but when did you ever decide to build a racing car on a £2 million budget?
Lola did, and it was okay. I will go into every bit of detail regarding the Lola Formula One Team that applied for entry in the 2010 FiA Formula One World Championship – an offer that the FiA refused.
Romain Grosjean becomes GP2 Champion!
Romain Grosjean!!! Some might remember Romain from 2009 where he filled in for Nelson Piquet Jnr after he was dismissed from Renault (then ING Renault F1). Romain was dominant for most of the season, apart from having the off mishap at the start.
Some questioned his ability in 2009, but remember in each race in 2009 where his team-mate was twice Formula One World Champion, Fernando Alonso; Romain managed to qualify within 0.5 seconds of Fernando, and for a rookie, that’s not bad.
With all the teams having taken their mandatory two-week break, Formula One comes to the hills of Belgium at Spa Francorchamps. Much has happened over the break. You know, with all this talk of driver change this, team change that, it makes a change knowing that Mr. Pointy Finger or Sebastian Vettel leads the World Championship with an 85 point lead over his nearest rival; Red Bull Racing team-mate, Mark Webber.
And then, only five points separate Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. The top of the points table is quite exciting especially when McLaren and Ferrari are targeting taking Red Bull to the final wire.
Well they said that last year, and look what happened?
